Ocean and bay beaches, bike trails, a fishing pier and the World War II towers of Fort Miles, just north of town. Open 8am to sunset; from March 1 to November 30, entry is $10 a day for Delaware cars and $20 for out-of-state cars.

Getting around Rehoboth

Route 1 (Coastal Highway) past the outlets and into town is busiest on summer weekends and holidays. Parking in Rehoboth is free from Sept 16 to May 14; from May 15 to Sept 15, meters are $4 an hour, 10am–10pm, at the kiosks or on ParkMobile.

The beaches are free

No beach tags or fees in Rehoboth Beach or Dewey Beach.

Parking

Free in Rehoboth from Sept 16 to May 14. From May 15 to Sept 15, meters are $4 an hour, 10am–10pm (kiosks or the ParkMobile app), and permit zones apply 10am–5pm.

Dogs on the beach

Leashed dogs are allowed on Rehoboth's beach and boardwalk only from Sept 16 to May 14. From May 15 to Sept 15, no dogs on the beach or boardwalk.

No sales tax

Delaware has no state or local sales tax, at the Route 1 outlets or anywhere else.

Rehoboth Beach Patrol

Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day weekend until about three weeks after Labor Day, so swim near a guarded stand. This number works May to September; off-season, call City Hall at 302-227-6181.
